Exercising daily may seem like the LAST thing you want to do; especially on a Monday. Instead of thinking like that, think of exercise like a daily release. Here are 5 tips on getting prepared for an early morning workout!
1. Put your alarm clock on the other end of the room!
I know this seems like the number one tip on most blogs, but it is because it WORKS! Once your body is up, (usually) you will either get up and get your day rolling, or get back into bed and become restless, so then you get up anyways! It's a win win.. or in some non - morning person's mind.. a lose - win ;).
2. Have your clothes out neatly on your dresser!
Even for work days or on days I go to classes, I do this! The night before, I lay out a cute outfit that I know is relevant to the temperature the following morning. I even take out my running shoes from the closet and unfold my socks so I can jump right into them! Having these things prepared will get rid of the anxious feeling of having to do so much in the mornings.
3. Have your pre and post- workout meal ready to go!
When you have your pre and post workout meals ready in the morning, it deletes another hastle you have to deal with after you work out. You already have to shower, and look semi- presentable for your day. Also, it won't allow you to skip a meal! Breakfast is so important. Especially when you begin a workout routine. Carbs and protein are the number one ingredients to a healthy, energized lifestyle!
4. Make sure you get enough sleep!
I know, i know. The busy life of a student or a mom/dad.. or whatever you have going on... But make time for SLEEP! Set an alarm for your bed time, or read a book an hour before you go to sleep. Turn off all electronics before bed so your mind has time to shut down. This will help you immensely throughout the week throughout your day to day activities and your workouts!
5. Clean your space.
I am an anal clean freak. I know, Delphine, a clean freak? Yeah, and it takes a toll on me if I am working out and the house in a disaster. Always be sure to have a clean space to come home to after a workout. It makes your workout feel better, and it makes your mind feel better coming to a nice clean space!
I hope to have helped you become motivated on this Monday morning! Make sure to follow me on all of my social media, and be sure to leave a comment letting me know which tip you try!
