Hi, it's me! The one running 433 days in a row... How has it been going you ask? It's GOING! I find with positivity comes success, and as long as I get out there and do at least 1 mile, I'm sticking to my goal!
I've decided to post once or twice a week, just so I am not overwhelming your feeds with the same ol' stories, and the same ol' blog.
This week was a challenge. Not in the running aspect, but in my mind and in my heart. I've always been one who craves change. I've been impulsive as long as I can remember, which means I make rash decisions. Running every single day is tiring, and it may be affecting my mood without me really realizing it.
This week I had to step back and realize how much attitude I had towards my loved ones. Especially my dear handsome boyfriend... If you're reading this, I truly am sorry for being a royal pain in the ass. But sometimes you have those weeks.
Back to running: I ran 20 miles this week. Some days were better than others. Did you know that replacing your inserts will LITERALLY change your running? Stupid enough, I put my new inserts into my trail shoes... which I'm not using yet, and currently, I do not have my trail shoes here with me in Sacramento! This frustrated me, but I decided to hurt myself and run 4 miles with inserts that are killing me yesterday. Today I decided I will run a mile and do some yoga since the inserts aren't feeling too good right now.
This is called critical thinking runner friends. If you're hurting when running, don't push it. You'll go several steps backward!
Did I have too much chocolate? Yeah, because my boyfriend is fantastic and bought me an enormous box of dark chocolate with amazing fillings... But I'm still going to enjoy my life and eat every single piece until another holiday comes around and he spoils me then...
This post is meant to be a venting post. Me, letting YOU know, that having an off week is OK. Whether it's in sports, school, or work, life happens and it's okay to have a nasty attitude, as long as you realize you're having an attitude, and are willing to change it.
This coming week will be a challenge with the awful rain pouring down. Anyone else sick of it?
But I'm going to make my goal of at least 20 miles.
Happy Running :-)
